Finnivo® has always provided the ability to view and publish aggregated and consolidated results in various forms, including Microsoft Excel and Word. This included all types of management and statutory reports and forecasts (including Annual Financial Statements and graphical views).

With the introduction of our new Publisher Module, we have addressed the final steps in the assembly of various executive & statutory reports that require input from multiple individuals and/or document sources.

With the Publisher module, we introduce narrative control and the ability to combine parts of various internal (generated in Finnivo®) and external documents, into a single themed document ready to be published.

For example: You can pick parts of a PDF document + parts of a Word Document generated within Finnivo® + parts of an external Excel document, and combine such parts into a single ‘themed’ document. Once created, you can at the click of a button refresh the single report whenever you are ready to publish.

This will automate the generation of various executive, statutory and management reports into a visually appealing and publishable format.

Disclosure Management (additional functionality)

The Publisher module also provides additional new functionality to efficiently manage the collaboration between individuals (i.e. different note owners) and allow the allocation of different notes (IFRS) to different types of organisations.

The module includes various work-flow elements that allow for the allocation, approval and finalisation of different notes and processes.

It also provides extended functionality for the allocation of specific notes
to various industry-related annual financial statements.

Carbon Footprint, BBBEE Scorecards and Payroll Planning

Several of our clients have now extended their use of Finnivo® well beyond their financial reporting and planning processes. We have seen an increase in the reporting and budgeting of non-financial items.

We are in a position to offer client’s advice and report templates for various reporting models that require the collation of data from multiple sources or the automation of forecast calculations.

Some of the more prevalent applications include:

  • Analysis and reporting of an organisation’s carbon footprint (environmental reporting).
  • Collation and generation of BBBEE data and scorecards.
  • Detailed payroll planning (including the calculation and export of amounts to the company financial budgets).

Starting 1 July 2018, various qualifying / selected Companies will be required to submit their financial and mandatory information to the Companies and Intellectual Properties Commission (“CIPC”) in a new electronic format. This will ultimately become a mandatory requirement for all Companies.

The new reporting format will require Companies to upload an iXBRL digital file to the CIPC portal (which will ultimately replace the process of uploading PDF report formats). Various other regulatory bodies are also currently investing in infrastructure to allow for the upload of the iXBRL files for submission of required Company information.
